Around Pune: One Day Trip to Singhgad, Great place to have fun with friends, popular weekend outing place.


Sinhagad is a hill fortress located at around 25 km southwest of the city of PuneIndia.

The Sinhagad Fort is a popular weekend destination for many residents of Pune, including trekking enthusiasts with access to the top of the fort from the base of the Sinhgad village. The trek involves a one-way walk of 2.7 km (1.6 miles) over which the walker gains about 600 m (1950 feet) in elevation.

This is around 46 kms from city . It takes 1 hr 15 mins to go .Only route is through khadakwasala Dam.




The fort view is excellent and the drive way is good with a very nice scenic view.


WARNING !!!!!
If you go on sunday after 9 AM there are chances you will never make it on top as the parking is very limited and no vehicles can enter.You will be made to stop and wait for 1 hr atleast at the next toll. Please plan accordingly.

Once you reach on top enjoy the walk through the first through various stalls and Trek at your will. enjoy all the points specially the Hawa point where u get brilliant AC cool wind and relax.  




It is fun to ride up-to the Fort passing through the enchanting Ghats and fog.


Sinhagad is a widely popular trekking destination for Mumbaikars and Punekars.









If you are thinking of a good weekend getaway, Singhad has it all. It is advisable to start early morning as you can enjoy the pleasant weather and greenery around.
