SUMMARY OF THE BOOK "THEORY OF KARMA" BY HIRABHAI THAKKAR
Shri Hirabhai Thakkar was an eminent preacher and author who
devoted his life to the study of Vedic philosophy. He was a scholar of Bhagwad Gita
& Vedant.
He wrote few
books and one of my favourite is Theory of Karma!
This book is very well written. It is an excellent source for the one who want to know what is Karma and how does it work?
This book is very well written. It is an excellent source for the one who want to know what is Karma and how does it work?
I give this book 5 stars rating.
Summary of this book:
We all know, there is some law which governs the
administration of this whole, universe.
This law is known as Law of Karma. And the most important and fundamental
principle of this law is- JO JAS KARAI SO TAS FAL CHAKHA. –
As you sow, so shall you reap.
If you want to live happily anywhere in this world, you must know the Law of karma under which the whole universe is governed. “Each and every physical action or deed that you perform with the co-operation of the mind, right from morning to evening, during the whole day and night, during the whole week, whole month, whole year and during the whole of your life right from birth to death is called Karma.
This law of karma is eternal, universal and applicable to all the
persons and creatures in entire
universe. This law is totally perfect. There has not been a
single amendment in the law up-till now since time immemorial and there is not
going to be a single amendment in the law till the end of the entire universe. There is not a single exception in this law of karma.

The wrong doer will definitely be punished for his wrong deeds. Similarly, a pious man performing good actions will definitely be rewarded for his good deeds.
We should gather sufficient patience and moral courage,will-power, full faith in this law while suffering miseries which are the results of our past sinful deeds and go
on doing pious deeds with great enthusiasm and full faith in God.
All these Karmas ae divided into three categories
according to their three stages as under:
Kriyaman Karma- An action done at the spur of a moment
or time in the present tense which instantly bears fruit and results in
reaction then and there.
Sanchit Karma- The action done but not yet ripe to
give fruits immediately or on the spot but take some time to get ripened. Such
karmas are kept in pending state waiting
for the opportune time to become ripe, to give fruits in future. Till then they
remain in balance and are accumulated. Until their fruitification, these
Sanchit karmas would not be neutralised.
Prarabdha Karma- means those actions, out of the
accumulated Sanchit karmas which have now become ripe and are ready to give
fruits. They are commonly known as destiny, luck, fate, fortune etc.
So long as you have not entered into any action
(Karma) you will have no reaction. There cannot be any effect without a cause.
But once you have entered into any action, you are bound to face its reaction.
So before doing any sort of action, you are free to think about its possible
reaction or outcome.
God has gifted human being high intelligence as well as
wisdom. So, if human beings misuse their intelligence and do not use their
wisdom, they are liable to severe punishment according to the Law of Karma.
YOU GET ONLY THAT MUCH WHICH IS DESTINED TO YOU.
The main purpose of having a human body is to acquire
Moksha i.e. liberation from the cycle of birth and death and secure union with
God from whom you are separated. That is the only final target and ultimate
goal of human life. But you cannot get Moksha so long as there is a single
Kriyaman, Sanchit, or Prarabdha karma lying in balance in your account. So for
acquiring Moksha what you should do is that you should perform and act so
carefully, tactfully, and skilfully during your present lifetime that you would
be sufficiently capable to successfully wipe out completely all the Kriyaman,
Sanchit and Prarabha karmas anyhow before you leave your present human body.

You Cannot stop or refrain from performing Kriyaman
Karmas in your life time. If you stop it your life would be Stranded and
crippled. Therefore, to avoid complicated and paradoxical situation and be free
from the bondage of Kriyaman Karmas, the only alternative is to go on
performing such Kriyaman Karmas as can be completely enjoyed and exhausted
during the present lifetime only and which may not remain in balance for
accumulation as sanchit karmas for the next births. The real key is to perform
only those Kriyaman Karmas which would dissolve away instantly upon dispensing
their due consequence during present lifetime without adding to the burden of
Sanchit Karmas to be reckoned for subsequent births.

Maharashtra Tourism: One day picnic place, Weekend getaway, Hill station, Tourist place ,Water falls around Pune and Mumbai, Place near Lonavala
One Day weekend Trip from Thokarwadi Dam to Khandi waterfall and Lalwadi Waterfall
Distance from Pune to Khandi waterfall is
approximately 78 Km, 2-hour drive.
To reach Thokarwadi Dam from Pune you have to take old
Pune-Mumbai road & take a right turn from Kanhe phata, the Takve –
Wadeshwar Road after crossing the railway gate will take you towards Khandi
Waterfalls.
You can infact encircle the entire dam area from Khandi and circle around the backwaters of Thokarwadi dam, come back to village Takve and there to Kanhe Phata.
This place is so beautiful and with a scenic area with the dam in the centre and hills all around with its dense forest.
Continuous Rain turns the weather mystic, moist, pleasant and fresh.
You will notice lush green and paddy carpets
lying over roadsides and mountains of Sahyadri’s.
The roads running at the base of the hills and
numerous waterfalls doting the hills capes and can be visited by walking a few
metres.
It feels like water
carries white diamonds, running through lush green background, roaring, falling
in necklace formations over mountains.
Roads are narrow and in a shabby state to motor around.
For food arrangement there are small local hotels at
hardly 2 or 3 locations.
You will face plenty of people crowding and spoiling nature.
